Romantic things to do in Nashville that will make your life feel like a movie.
Are you a couple looking for the best things to do in Nashville?
If you’re looking for something special to do with your lover, you’ve come to the right place.
A lot of people know Nashville as “Music City” and the “Country Music Capital”, but what many people don’t know is just how romantic of a city it is to visit or live in! A Nashville couples vacation here can be sooooo perfect… if you know the best spots. ;)
Romantic Nashville Suggestions:
Holiday Salon & Spa
This is one of my personal favorites in all of Nashville! You can rent their private bath house for one or two hours, and it has a hot tub, sauna and steam room! They also have the option of ordering food and drinks from Cafe Roze. This is a truly one-of-a-kind and sexy spot to unwind with your lover.
Arrington Vineyards or Belle Meade Winery
Now I love some Trader Joes wine, but there is truly nothing better than a good quality wine… other than being able to drink it on location! This may not be Napa Valley, but if you’re wanting a truly unique wine experience, these are your places! Arrington Vineyards is about a 45 minute drive south of the city, and Belle Meade Winery in on Nashville’s west side and only about a 20 minute drive.
Go dancing at Centennial Park
Centennial Park is Nashville’s “Central Park” (though not nearly as large). During the warmer months they host Big Band Dances at one of their pavilions - swing & jazz! Don’t feel confident in your dancing skills? Don’t worry - they do a lesson at the beginning of the evening! They usually also have a food truck or two nearby. When you’re done dancing, take a stroll around the ponds, and admire the true-to-size replica of the Parthenon.
Nashville Downtown Library
Nashville’s downtown library is truly a stunning work of architecture. The grand stairwell are what dreeaaaamssss are made of! It’ll make you feel as though you were transported to something akin to a scene in Pride & Prejudice. If you’re looking for a beautiful and quiet place to spend an afternoon, this is where you want to be.
A French dinner and drinks
My two favorite French spots in town are so good that I did an entire blog post on them! If you love a good French meal and enjoy French wine, you can learn all about visiting these two spots by clicking here.
Cheekwood Gardens and Art Museum
Nashville is full of history, and the Cheekwood estate is one of my personal favorites! This is a grand mansion, similar to what you would see in the English countryside. The gardens are remarkable and so lovely to walk through, while the mansion itself you can tour, and also has an art museum on it’s upper most level.
A movie set to the Nashville Symphony
The Schoermerhorn is another one of our beautiful pieces of architecture in downtown Nashville, but it’s easy to miss if you get caught up in the chaos of Broadway. Throughout the year they host various films, and the symphony places along with the score! Tip: It’s best if you have already seen the movie, as there are occasionally moments where the dialogue can be difficult to hear while they are playing.
Cocktails at The Fox or Attaboy
These are my two favorite Speakeasy bars in town! Both can easily be missed if you don’t know where to look, and they also boast of some of the best cocktails in town. There is oftentimes a wait, but know that it is 100% worth it!
Take a drive down The Natchez Trace
This scenic historic route is perfect if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city! Throw on your favorite playlist, or listen to this one, and take a drive! I recommend doing this in the evening. PRO TIP: Pack a picnic and stop at one of the pull offs to enjoy! This one is my personal favorite.
Go to the Frist Museum, and then walk to Pullman Standard
The Frist is Nashville’s gorgeous art museum. It has rotating exhibitions, and is a stunning building! This would be a perfect spot to visit in the late afternoon, and then take a short walk to grab a cocktail at Pullman Standard.
Go for a walk at beautiful Radnor Lake
This is truly one of Nashville’s hidden gems, and one beloved by locals. This is a historic preserved space with hiking trails that go around the lake and up through the woods. This is a beautiful spot to take a leisurely stroll and admire nature.
Watch the sunrise over the city, and then grab breakfast
Fort Negley is a historic spot from the Civil War. Being a high point in Nashville, it has a spectacular view of the city. If you’re an early riser, this is one of the best spots to go to watch the sun come up. Afterward head to Pinewood for some breakfast and coffee.
